Is DigitalOcean good for blogging?

While DigitalOcean is one of the greatest providers for developers, it is - in my perspective - not suitable for running a website or application in production. To keep the very low price that they are known for, they don't use centralized storage. So the disks are located in the hypervisor. This results in a relatively high risk that one or more customers (hosted on a failing hypervisor) can experience complete data loss.


However, if you can live with that risk - and you have backup - then you will really get some great performing servers at a very good price.
